During the winter (November to March) the club trains every Saturday at the Dominik Hofmann Halle in the 21st district in Vienna. Training begins at 11am and lasts for 2 hours. Players of all abilities are welcome at our training sessions and after a quick warm-up we do some fielding training before moving on to batting and bowling. We have a special mat for playing indoor cricket and also use yellow Kookaburra balls which are slightly lighter than outdoor balls. It has become tradition that afterwards we head to the Roman Loos Gasthaus for some traditional Austrian food. If you are interested in joining one of our training sessions, or just want to find out more about cricket, please send us an email at viennacricketclub@gmail.com.
Reaching the hall is very simply with public transport. The closest bus stop to the hall is Dunantgasse on the 34A bus from Floridsdorf, which can be accessed by the U6, as well as many S-Bahn trains and trams. For those with cars, there is also plenty of parking nearby the hall as it is situated in a residential area.
